Karlene Keogh Parks Deliberately Misleading Voters Scandal Continues

Phoenix, AZ (Thursday, July 18, 2013) – Day two of the Karlene Keogh Parks misleading voters scandal begins with the discovery of new evidence showing a pattern of deception. On July 15, 2013, Mrs. Parks submitted a letter to the editor that ran in the Ahwatukee Foothills News in which she stated:
"I have not accepted one single lobbyist donation to my campaign and never will..."
This was first believed to be an isolated incident of deception. However, today, it was discovered Karlene Keogh Parks submitted a response to The Arizona Republic in which she stated she is:
"...a person who has pledged to accept no contributions from lobbyists."
Candidates submitted these answers to The Arizona Republic on Friday, May 31st. So since at least May 31st, Mrs. Parks has deliberately mislead the voters. A check of her most recent campaign finance report filings with the City of Phoenix Election Department shows she has been accepting donations from lobbyists all along and during the same time she has been telling voters otherwise.
"Karlene Keogh Parks cannot be trusted. If she will mislead the voters about her ties to lobbyists, I think it is fair to ask what other things she has mislead voters about," stated Councilman Sal DiCiccio.
